deathbycoconut is a five-piece band from Bucharest, Romania, blending krautrock, electronica, hip-hop, post-punk, and experimental influences into a sound shaped by dystopian mythology and tropical imagery.
Their music moves between hypnotic grooves, bass-heavy textures, unusual time signatures, and immersive sonic explorations, creating live shows that have become cult favorites within Bucharest’s underground scene, sensual, unpredictable, and deeply atmospheric.
Over the years, the band has performed in venues across Europe while continuing to shape a unique musical identity rooted in experimentation and contrast. In 2025, deathbycoconut released their long-awaited debut album, “Dezamăgire 24/7” (Disappointment 24/7).
