Groovy Disco w/ Eugen Rădescu & Daniel Roșca

Lace up your dancing shoes and mark your calendars for June 13 as Groovy Disco returns with a fresh episode. Prepare to groove to the glittering nostalgia of the 70s, 80s, and 90s. For this edition, Eugen Rădescu, a trailblazer in Romania’s nightlife scene advocating for safe spaces for the LGBTQ+ community, has invited Daniel Roșca to join the stage for an unforgettable night..

Groovy Disco is a series that challenges us to dive into the glamorous atmosphere of the parties organised back in the 70s, 80s or 90s, spiced up with sparkling flavors of the year 2000. Its daring musical flashbacks are further intensified by the special light design and the video-mapping that extends the scenery to a futuristic visual dimension.

Daniel Roșca is a contemporary artist and cultural manager based in Bucharest. Daniel’s work has been featured in several solo exhibitions, including “Solastalgia” at Strata Gallery and “Lacqua Che Trema” at Atelier 35. He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions across Europe, such as the Kune Festival in Copenhagen, “Mute” at Galerie Mansart in Paris, and events at WIPO in Geneva and Huntenkunst in Holland. Currently, Daniel serves as the executive director of Biennale 11.

His artistic discourse explores the intricate relationship between humans and nature, drawing inspiration from natural phenomena like storms and tranquil waters. Daniel’s work addresses environmental degradation and climate change, aiming to inspire hope and constructive reflection rather than despair.
