NIGHTS HOUSEBREAKSDARK DISCOALTERNATIVE
22:00

Starting the night, Taking Back August bring their intense, modern metalcore sound to the stage, delivering tracks from their debut album Chrysalis, where life and death play out in a darkly atmospheric concept. Following this powerful set, The Apricots (aka Alexandra & DJ Slim Fit) take over with their back-to-back blend of house and breaks, riding through styles with unrestrained energy. Over in Room 2, nimicaboys (mitici & cheiyale) will keep the dark disco, electronica, and kebab house vibes rolling all night long.

Taking Back August is a modern metalcore band originating from Bucharest, which came into existence in 2020. In the first two years of its existence, Taking Back August had a lot of experiences and challenges, climbing the podium at the Posada Rock contest and, later, he performed at Rockstadt Extreme Fest and Metalgates. The band shared the stage with the German band Lord Of The Lost and local White Walls, Implant Pentru Fuzu, Coma or E.M.I.L.

The first single, "Welcome Home" was released in October 2020 along with a lyric video. After the release of the first single, the band worked intensively on the first discographic material, the EP, "The Devil's Crown", released in September of 2021.

In 2024, the band released the first album entitled "Chrysalis". The theme of the album takes the form of the concept of Alpha and Omega, respectively life and death, where life stands on a pedestal surrounded by shadows. The album also includes the band's first song in Romanian, "Anotimp", in collaboration with Cătălin Chelemen from the band Coma.
