Seefeel AV + Sun Glitters

In an exclusive performance in Control Club and alongside live visual work by Dan Conway, Seefeel will perform their debut album “Quique” (Too Pure, 1993), celebrating the 25th anniversary of its release. With truly groundbreaking releases on equally groundbreaking labels Too Pure, Warp and Rephlex, they have constantly paved the way for countless artists, their influence and method evident in the sound of fellow luminaries such as Boards of Canada, Fennesz and Tim Hecker.

The importance of Seefeel ‘s existence and their contributions to both the evolution and cross-pollination of electronic and rock music cannot be overstated. Under the guise of a “conventional” guitar band, the visionary London-based four-piece tapped into the vanguard movements of the mid-nineties and foreseeingly combined the essences of post-rock and shoegaze with the technological possibilities of electronica, fusing them into a new sound altogether: one with the humanity of a band and the inhumanity of a machine… And they continue to evolve. Seefeel 2018 is Mark Clifford, Sarah Peacock, Kazuhisa Lida, Shigeru Ishihara and Dan Conway for the visual.

Debuting in 2011 with the acclaimed full-length, Everything Could Be Fine and a seemingly endless string of EPs, self-released tracks and remixes, Sun Glitters has quickly left a mark on the electronic music scene. He has toured clubs and played festivals throughout Europe and received glowing coverage from Dazed & Confused, BBC, Resident Advisor, Earmilk, XLR8R, Pitchfork, The Guardian and a bevy of trend setting music outlets.

Since, he has consistently been releasing music while collaborating and sharing a stage with established acts such as Slow Magic, Son Lux and Gonjasufi. Labelled a ‘one-man unstoppable team,’ Sun Glitters (real name Victor Ferreira) is a versatile artist with a knack for composing a story by combining his talents to create everything from scratch—his music, video clips, and his own official website.

A man who cuts together glitteringly lush sunshine vocal samples with stop-start minimal beats surrounded in wave after wave of synths. Today will see the artist as Support act and very special guest in Control Club, after his last 2014 performance.
